Born Willard Christopher Smith Jr. on 25 September, 1968 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, Will Smith’s journey through life is one that has been made in the stars! Coming from a humble middle class family in West Philadelphia, Will Smith started his career as a rapper called The Fresh Prince. He tasted modest success in that career before he decided to move to television. His fortunes changed overnight with his hugely popular television series on NBC, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. The show ran for six years and established Smith as a decent actor. In the mid-90s, he moved from television to movies, and as they say, the rest is history. Will Smith went on to star in many blockbuster movies like Bad Boys, Men-In-Black, Independence Day, I am Legend, Hancock and The Pursuit of Happyness that received box-office success all across the globe. And what’s more, he can also boast of being the first and the only actor in history to have eight consecutive movies gross over $100 million.
