The rate of divorce is going up every year, at a faster rate in Western societies, and the East seems determined to fast catch up. Failed marriages, and the family unit mean that the very fabric of society is disintegrating. Failed marriages particularly when children are involved, can be traumatic. In a time when everyone is looking for 'instant' happiness, people jump headlong into a relationship on the basis of 'Love at first sight'.
