The new royal couple


After Prince William and Kate Middleton’s marriage, we have yet another royal wedding of a King and a commoner. In a simple ceremony without much pomp and grandeur, Bhutan's fifth ‘Dragon King’, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck married Jetsun Pema, a 21-year-old commoner, daughter of an airline pilot. The wedding ceremony took place on October 13, 2011 at Bhutan's most sacred monastery fortress in the old capital of Punakha.


Jetsun Pema Wangchuck was born on June 4, 1990 and is a Gemini while Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, born February 21, 1980 is a Pisces.
