Have you been missing Team India’s pace spearhead Zaheer Khan on the field, displaying his fiery bowling action? Now you don’t have to as he will be playing in the upcoming four-Test rubber against Australia. This is India’s golden chance to win a series Down Under as the Australian team is young, and at the moment quite inconsistent in their performance. Today’s Aus team is not the same mighty team of Mathew Hayden, Waugh brothers, Shane Warne, Adam Gilchrist and Glenn McGrath era. However, this does not call for Team India to take them lightly and sound overconfident.
Coming back after a long break due to injury, there will be tremendous pressure on Zaheer Khan aka Zak to prove his fitness and also to win this series. His previous tours of Australia had been disappointing as he had to return home with injuries. This time Zaheer will look forward to complete some unfinished tasks in Australia as this probably could be his last tour of the country.
The 33-year-old left arm fast bowler is the most experienced and the best of the Team India bowling attack. He has taken 273 wickets from 79 Tests at a bowling average of 31.78. Zaheer is a phenomenal bowler, known for his ability to swing the ball both ways. He last played in the first Test of the four-match series against England in July 2011. He was ruled out of the rest of the tour after he strained his hamstring and suffered an ankle injury.
Astrologically speaking, born on October 7, 1978, Zaheer belongs to the sun sign Libra with 7 as his ruling number. This number is governed by the Planet Neptune, which means that he is highly imaginative, idealistic and has a dreamy nature. He is restless by nature and always eager for change. There will not be too many dull moments in 2012 for Zaheer. He will do exceptionally well career wise this year. It would be advisable for him to take adequate rest and remain fit this year with such a hectic schedule all through the year. Fitness will again remain a big concern for him. It’s important that he doesn’t jump in and analyse even the minute details for a positive year ahead. The month of June brings happiness for him.
